⛪The day begins in the church of San Francisco de Paula (also known as San Francisquito) in the Santutxu neighborhood of Bilbao at 12 noon
At the end of the ceremony, we will take pictures in the church with all of you, the guests.
There will be buses waiting for you to take you directly to the restaurant after the photos are taken. Estimated departure time: 2:00 p.m.
The restaurant is the hotel Igeretxe in the town of Getxo, which is around 20km away on the beach frontline.
Here we will spend the rest of the day: reception, food and party until our feet are too sore to continue dancing.
In Spain, the lunch is our main meal so this means that around 15:30h we will start eating a biiig meal with several courses including different appetizers, two main courses, and dessert.😋
There will be buses available again before midnight heading to Bilbao's city centre.
But if you feel the night is still young, join us in the local bars in the marina nearby where we will continue partying.

🎁We don't have a wish list as we have to travel back to Denmark and we unfortunately don't have space.🧳

International wedding
It will be an international wedding so even though the majority of the guests are Spanish, we will speak both languages and try our best to make it possible for you to follow up through the day.
Some of you are planning to TRAVEL for some days around the wedding date to visit and get to know the fantastic Bilbao and beautiful Basque Country. For those of you who would like to do it with us and other international guests, we will plan some day trips and fun activities during the week leading up to the wedding (15-19th May). An extensive homemade PDF document will be uploaded here on the website in February with the planned excursions & activities for the week if you want to join us. There will also be local recommendations for traveling, accommodation, food, transport and useful tips in the guide for your personal use. If you can't wait until February, no problem! Just write Marta and she will be more than happy to help 😊
